Service Description

Research indicates that there is a window of opportunity during the year before the wedding and the year or so afterwards when couples get the optimum benefit from marriage preparation. Later, under stress, negative habits and relationship patterns may become established and be much harder to resolve. To maximize this opportunity I use a customized couple assessment tool, the Prepare-Enrich Instrument, that has been demonstrated to be effective in systematically identifying your strength and growth areas. Based on the results of this online assessment I facilitate 2 feedback sessions where you discuss and understand your results while I teach you proven relationship skills. Specifically, this approach helps me help you and your partner: Explore strength and growth areas Strengthen communication skills Identify and manage major stressors Resolve conflict using the Ten Step Model Develop a more balanced relationship Explore family of origin issues Discuss financial planning and budgeting Establish personal, couple and family goals Understand and appreciate personality differences Please don’t leave the most important step in marriage preparation fall by the wayside amidst all the other important planning. Cancellation Policy

Because Dr. Cole is in a private, solo practice, he loses the full amount of the cost of your session if you decide to reschedule or cancel your appointment without giving us sufficient time to back-fill your scheduled appointment. Accordingly, we request a 24 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. There is no charge for rescheduling or canceling an appointment prior to this 24-hour window of time. If you reschedule or cancel your session without a 24-hour notice we reserve the right to charge the credit card you have on file with our office the full amount of a clinic hour.
